Method 1: Using Google Account Credentials

The easiest and safest way to remove the FRP lock is to enter the Google account details (email and password) that were previously associated with the device.

  1. On the Google account verification screen, enter your Google email and password.
  2. If you’ve forgotten the password, use Google's Account Recovery to reset your password.

If you do not remember your account details or purchased the phone second-hand, proceed with the following methods.

Method 2: FRP Bypass via TalkBack and Wi-Fi

This method uses the TalkBack feature to access the phone's settings and bypass the FRP lock.

  1. Turn on the device and connect to a Wi-Fi network.
  2. Once you reach the Google account verification screen, press the Back button to return to the Wi-Fi selection page.
  3. Enable TalkBack by pressing and holding the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until TalkBack is enabled.
  4. Once TalkBack is active, draw an L shape on the screen (swipe from the top left to bottom right) to bring up the TalkBack menu.
  5. From the menu, select TalkBack Settings. Press the volume buttons again to turn off TalkBack.
  6. In TalkBack Settings, select Help & Feedback.
  7. From the Help & Feedback section, choose a topic with a video or text that contains links. This will allow you to access YouTube.
  8. In YouTube, go to Account > Terms & Privacy Policy to open the web browser.
  9. Download an FRP bypass APK (such as FRP Bypass APK or QuickShortcutMaker APK). You can find these files by searching in the browser.
  10. After downloading the APK, install it on your device. You may need to enable installation from Unknown Sources.
  11. Once installed, open the app and use it to access Settings.
  12. In Settings, perform a factory reset or remove the Google account.

Method 3: Bypass FRP Using a PC and FRP Tool

There are some PC software tools that can assist in bypassing FRP. You will need a USB cable and a computer to do this.

  1. Download and install an FRP bypass tool (such as LGUP or GSM Flasher Tool) on your computer.
  2. Connect your LG K40 to your PC using a USB cable.
  3. Follow the software instructions to bypass FRP. This usually involves selecting your device model and following on-screen prompts.

Method 4: Contact LG or Your Carrier
